Have you been to therapy in the last 1-3 years?
I typically recommend starting with weekly appointments until you have made progress on your goals to where you can tamper down to biweekly appointments. Are you able to commit to weekly appointments at this time?
Would you like to be added to my email list to hear about promotions and group therapy opportunities?

for those who want to know the answers

Here is a list of common questions I have the answers to:

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I do not take insurance. One of the reasons being, that by not doing so, I can ensure your privacy & confidentiality much more than providers that do accept insurance. Insurance companies require clinicians to give a mental health diagnosis which can negatively impact a person seeking services. I am confident my fees are very reasonable in comparison to what an insurance company will reimburse you when seeking therapy services.

When can I get in for an appointment?

I am currently accepting new clients. As soon as you would like to be scheduled, I will work hard to get you in within a few days to 1 week.

How long will I have to come to therapy to see progress?

Ah, the famous question.  Progress is dependent on so many factors and really depends on each individual.  I know, probably not the answer that you want to hear.  What I do recommend is that you start out seeing me weekly and then as we collaboratively agree that you are making progress on your goals, we tamper off to biweekly appointments.

Are you a 12-step based addictions counselor?

I am not affiliated with a 12-step based therapy technique. I believe that addiction recovery is a process and that progression in one’s recovery is based off of the person’s motivation and willingness to change.  I believe that 12-step based practices are extremely efficient for so many people and have saved many people’s lives through the organizations’ support, although I hold the view that there are many approaches to how one can live a life in recovery from addiction.

What are your fees?

While fees are always subject to change, currently my 1 hour individual counseling fee is $105.  This includes the 1 hour counseling session in addition to access to an online, confidential client portal and 24/7 access to get in touch with me in an easy, convenient way.  The 1 hour counseling session is standard for most clients.
