Who I Am
Ok. So now you want to know how I can help, right? Deciding who you want as your therapist is not something to take lightly. I want to do my best to make sure that we are the right fit, so here is a bit about my personality, feedback from others, and who I flow best with to help you in your search process.
I am crazy about my job. I love getting to work with the people I interact with on a daily basis. I am passionate and dynamic, but also consistent, reliable, and committed to the therapeutic process. No matter what you are struggling with today, I believe that you wouldn't be here reading all of this unless you believed that you could feel better -- that someone could maybe help. I believe in that, too. I’m ready to meet you where you are and help you sort through things to lighten your load.
The most common feedback I get from those who have worked with me is that I am easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and supportive, while also not being afraid to challenge you as needed. I am a realist; there is no sugar-coating here, sweetheart. I believe your time is valuable, so we’ll stay focused on the most efficient and effective way to sort out where you are so you can get closer to where you want to be.
I do my best work with those who are motivated and open to feeling, while also not expecting therapy to happen over night. I am wired to be patient yet direct, and do my best to check in frequently to make sure the pace and the process are what you're expecting.
At the end of the day, I look for patterns. I pay attention. I help you figure out what is and what isn't working. I help you feel comfortable to share and feel what is true for you in a safe, non-judgmental space. I help you feel encouraged and supported at the end of the day.
How I Can Help
Even if we haven’t met yet, I already believe that you have what it takes to navigate anything, and I’ll do everything I can to help you see that, too. I will help you feel supported, empowered, and competent to make the changes you desire. I believe that healing comes from having a secure, safe, and trusting relationship with a professional therapist who will work collaboratively with you towards your goals.
