Common Questions

Do you take insurance? And if I do have insurance, do I have to use it or can I self-pay?

At this time, I accept self-pay clients as well as am an in-network provider with BlueCross Blue Shield, Blue Choice, and PAI. Even if you have benefits with the providers I am in-network with, you have the right to opt out of using your benefits.  If you would like to know more about this, my rates, and/or learn about the benefits of self-pay vs. insurance, find out more here: Rates and Insurance

How long will I have to come to therapy to see progress?

Ah, the famous question. Progress is dependent on so many factors and really depends on each individual. I know, probably not the answer that you want to hear. What I recommend to most is that you start out seeing me on a bi-weekly (or weekly when available) basis and then as we collaboratively agree that you are making progress on your goals, we taper off to monthly or "as needed" appointments.

What is the process of scheduling an appointment, and what should I expect when working with you?

This part is super easy. The first step is to schedule your free phone consultation Your appointment request gets sent directly to me, then I confirm and send you a brief questionnaire (takes like, 1 minute to complete) so that I can be prepared for our phone chat. If we feel like it's a good fit, I can usually schedule your first appointment right over the phone. Please feel free to take a tour of my office space, read more about my therapeutic style, and navigate some of the other pages around my website to learn more about how I operate. Working with me includes 50-minute counseling sessions in addition to access to an online, confidential client portal giving you 24/7 access to change appointments, schedule new appointments, and get in touch with me in an easy, convenient way.
